Our difference

Tunstall Counselling and Resource Centre is a not-for-profit organisation which has been in operation since 1990.

We provide a professional counselling service to people who live anywhere in Melbourne, assisting people who are concerned about some difficulty or relationship in their lives. The majority of our clients come from Manningham suburbs, and surrounding areas.

We have a strong reputation for our couples and family work, as well as individual counselling. We offer a number of groups and seminars on topical issues.

Tunstall Counselling and Resource Centre is unusual because we:

• focus on counselling as our key business
• provide counselling for individuals, couples/marriage counselling, families and youth, with no religious or other bias
• offer evening appointments
• are a not-for-profit agency
• are not funded by state or federal government, so our hours are flexible, not fixed. [We can provide appointments within days rather than weeks, in most cases, and therefore we are highly responsive and able to see people quickly – close to the time that they feel they need to be seen, not weeks down the track.]
• have no limit on the number of sessions of counselling
• are qualified social workers or psychologists with several years of experience in professional positions
• are located in Manningham but we provide counselling services to clients from any municipality or suburb
• see a substantial percentage of clients as couples or family groups.
